***COVID NOTICE - Important deadline information***

The Special Event application deadline is 90 days in advance of the proposed event. However, in order to be flexible, we will review applications up to 60 days in advance of the proposed event date. Unfortunately, the City cannot accommodate shorter deadlines due to the constraints on city resources and additional reviews required due to the pandemic.

As a part of the application process, all events will now be required to submit a COVID Mitigation Plan (step 8 on the application) that outlines the steps your event will take to comply with State and City requirements and guidance prior to approval.

Denver is proud to host fun, creative events that showcase diversity across our neighborhoods throughout the city.

All events open to the public that are held on public property such as in a Denver park or on a street or sidewalk must complete a Special Event Application. If you are unsure whether your event is required to complete a Special Event Application, contact us at 720-913-1501 or denverevents@denvergov.org.

The Special Events Online Application must be submitted 90 days prior to your event date.

For events at a private facility or parking lot, contact the owner of the property. However, if the event will impact public resources such as police, streets or neighborhoods please contact us for assistance.
